Head-to-Head Comparison
KIOTI DK5320 vs Kubota MX5400
This one's a genuinely fair fight. The MX5400 is Kubota's value utility tractor and it brings more engine than the DK5320. The DK answers with a stronger back and faster hydraulics. Which matters more depends on the implement.

Specs come straight from each manufacturer's own published literature. A blank marked "Not published" means that brand doesn't publish the figure for this model, not that it's zero.
Where the DK5320 wins
- Three-point lift. 2,716 lb against 2,310, both at 24 inches behind the hitch.
- Hydraulics. 16.5 gpm total against 14.4.
Where the MX5400HST wins
- Power. 57.0 hp gross against 50.3, and 46.5 PTO hp against 39.3. That's a real gap, not a rounding error.
- Hitch rating. Category I and II against Category I.
- Fuel capacity. 13.5 gallons against 12.7.
- Ground clearance. 15.2 inches published on the MX. KIOTI doesn't publish one for the DK.
Our take
If your main tool is a heavy rotary cutter or anything else that eats PTO horsepower, buy the horsepower. The MX5400 has it.
If the tractor lives on the loader and the hitch, lifting, grading, moving, the DK5320 lifts more and pumps more oil. Price the two and the DK's case gets stronger.
It comes down to what's on the back of the tractor most days. Tell us what that is and we'll tell you which way we'd go.
About the measurements
- KIOTI doesn't publish DK operating weight or ground clearance in the current brochure, so those rows are blank on our side.
Competitor specs come from each manufacturer's published spec sheets and product pages, pulled July 2026. Manufacturers change specs, so check the current sheet before you buy. Competitor brand and model names belong to their owners. We're a KIOTI and LS dealer, and this page says so up front.
